Yes this includes the new UP by Jawbone! I used it when I bought it.
What I figured I would do is just post some pictures of the new UP by Jawbone. I’ve had the bracelet for a day now and so far so good. The set-up was easy, the sync worked perfectly and so far its been tracking legitimate hours slept and activity throughout the day.
SIZING
I recommend going with the larger bracelet if you’re on the fence. I always wear a rubber bracelet that supports the Wounded Warrior Project. So I used the size of the one I already wore to guesstimate which size. I’m glad I went with the large.
The band itself is very comfortable and lightweight. I haven’t had any problems while taking off sweatshirts or putting on jackets. ( I live in Ohio Burrrrrr) The one downfall is the ability to wear the bracelet while you’re working on the computer. When using the mouse, the UP by Jawbone bracelet makes it hard to move and drags against the desk. I’ve kind of already adjusted and positioned my arm differently to allow some space between the bracelet and the desk.
Worst case scenario, just take the bracelet off while you’re working.
Charging/Syncing
I figured I would put these two together because they both require you to take off the band and utilize the 3.5MM headphone jack to charge/sync.
I’ve heard a lot of bad reviews centered around the fact that it’s not bluetooth capable. Jawbone recommends that you sync the band twice a day which is no hassle at all. I’ve had no problems (SO FAR) removing the cap, syncing the data and placing the cap back. I wish Jawbone would have come up with a rubber attachment from the band to the cap. This would allow me to take the cap off and have it still attached to the band.
I can see people losing the caps quite a bit.
