It’s been awhile since my first couple posts! I can honestly say that the Jawbone UP 2 Bracelet has helped me get my exercise and healthy habits in check. I’m able to see caloric intake, distance traveled throughout the day and I also get to see what my friends or “teammates” as Jawbone calls it, are doing. On both the iPhone app and the brand new UP for Android APP! Although it is a bit weird being able to see every movement of every minute of everyone on your team list, but it also breeds competition. One of the main reasons I’ve found success with the gym is because of my competitive nature. I can see what people are lifting, how they look, and I set goals for myself. The same can be said for the new Jawbone UP 2.
By showing the fitness levels of your friends, family, or even co-workers, it brings out a little friendly competition. It’s also like having your own personal trainer to push you that extra mile to beat out the max step count. This is not the main selling feature of the Jawbone UP bracelet but it does add that team feeling when you add your friends to the app.

I ended up getting the black one only because I bought it when it first came out and they didn’t have the blue jawbone up 2 band yet. Now I’m sure you’re thinking about the sizing. Go a size bigger than you think. Unless you’re a female then stick with the small or medium. Guys, get the Large or Extra Large band. The main trick with the band is to not realize it’s there. You want to forget that the band even exist until you go to sync it with the new Jawbone UP android app or the original iPhone APP.
Don’t worry about individually adding all of your friends to your team. The Jawbone android and iPhone app allow you to sync to your Facebook and automatically shows which of your friends have the Jawbone UP 2. This makes it a lot easier to find the ones you want to add or maybe not add at all… The most important thing about the band is to remember that this is a great tool. It’s a holistic approach to your workout goals and your overall fitness goals. By allowing you to track your every movement and enter meals for the day, it takes all the work out of dieting. Other than the healthy eating part of course and the part where you actually have to get up out of bed and work out!
A lot of people complain that they don’t have time to workout or eat healthy because of there busy lifestyles. Throw the band on for a day and go about your business. You’ll naturally find yourself in a competition to get more steps and calories burned than last week, or yesterday or last month even. It keeps track of all this.
